Meet the Artist

Jigna Patel is a Chicago-based artist who has been painting professionally since 2014. She is an abstract artist who works with mixed media and has a breadth of work in resin geode abstractions and textured acrylic abstracts as well as oil paintings and several commissions for private collectors.

Jigna's journey in art has been a long time in development. Always drawn to all forms or the arts since she was a young girl, Jigna decided to pursue Textile Design during her GCSE coursework in England back in 1996. She completed her coursework, however, her move to the Unites States and the difference in education structure, forced to reconsider her career choices. Jigna chose to follow one of her other passions, helping people! She established a career as a Board Certified Clinical Pharmacist, working with Abdominal Transplant patients for the first 9 years of the her career, and then with her colleagues in the Intensive Care Unit, for the next 6 years, including through the COVID pandemic. At the end of the Delta surge, Jigna decided it was time to bid farewell to her career in healthcare and pursue her calling since childhood. Her journey through artistic self-discovery has been nothing short of intense! She has dug deep over the past year to find her inner voice, and how it expresses itself on the canvas, and we can see her vast undertaking in her work today. Be a part of her journey as she continues to rediscover herself as a person and artist, as she connects deeply with her art, and in turn with you!

Thank you for being here and sharing in this journey!
