This is a rendering of Abhishekam (offering of milk -or various other elements) to the Shivling, as is done in Sanatan Rituals on Mondays as part of our devotion to Lord Shiva. But instead in this painting Abhishekam is being offered to Shiva’s Abode on Mount Kailash (which happens to look like a Shivling)

Fun fact: despite being considerably shorter than several peaks in the Himalayas, Mount Kailash has never ever been summited! The energies and terrain along with weather has always made it impossible. But people who have gone close to the mountain will tell you how powerful the vibrations of the place are!
